Polynesian Cultural Centre

The Polynesian Cultural Centre is open Monday to Friday 12.30pm 9pm. The centre can only be described as a little piece of paradise explained. The centre is run as a non-profit organisation which draws funds for the participating teenagers of the Polynesian Islands so they can then pay their university fees.

The centre is a cultural attraction on a grand scale, covering over 42 acres and drawing in crowds of over 900,000 tourists annually. If you are on the island it is a must see.

The park has seven theme villages, these represent ancient life in Samoa, New Zealand, Fiji, Tahiti, Tonga, the Marquesas, and Hawaii. Authentic looking huts, ceremonial houses, demonstrations of crafts, ceremonies and dances are just a few of examples of what this site has to offer.

The centre is has a river running through, there are dancing demonstrations on a hourly basis on barges, as well as frequent free of charge boat trips to help see all areas of the centre if your not so keen on walking.

If you visit this site, remember to take a camera with you, there are so many beautiful views you will not wish to forget.
